I have seriously reenacted since 1996, following a lifelong interest in history.

Since 1997 I have hosted the Mrs. Bowling - At Home gathering, a non-partisan monthly salon for reenactors, students of nineteenth-century American history, and students of the American Civil War.

My personal interests are culture, crafts, lifestyles, spirituality, and folkways of the nineteenth century. And my happiest moments are spent in libraries, museums, historic homes, and bookstores.
