(61st NY and North State Rifles)

Image made at the Gibson Gallery, Gettysburg, Pa.

We're only friends, imitating a period wedding tintype, just  for fun! I've been known to carry this (in a period case) to events, to have a photograph of a soldier "sweetheart" in my dress pocket, since it looks quite authentic. However, since I'm with a Union unit, this action gets me branded as a traitor!  (I guess Dan is safe from tarring and feathering, since I'm a lady, and you can't tell which side I'm on!) We were both very pleased with the two images we had made.

Dan, who is a very talented tailor, made his Confederate uniform; I made my dress.

Dan posts as "Mortimer Blab" ( a pseudonym for Mark Twain), and I post as "Irish Tigress", a combination of two knicknames bestowed upon me by a friend and my Dad.
