I find it a great insult to include Roman Catholic Popes in your list of Antichrists. You seem to be very ignorant in some areas of Christian theology and as a sister in Christ I forgive you.

Of all Occults & cults, other Protestant groups, doesn't it seem strange that the object of attack is the Catholic Churches, East & Western Rites? Why would the Satanists want to use a consecrated host and also blaspheme us through the ritual of Black Masses? Because they recognize the Truth and Tradition handed down and protected by the Catholic Church for all ages. Satan's goal is not to just destroy Christianity but specifically the Worldwide universality and Unity of the Catholic Church. As "Christians" too, I am almost believing that we are at the frontlines of the battle holding back the force of evil through the Greatest Prayer to the Father: The Sacrifice of the Mass occurring in all times zones all over the world continuously, not to mention all the prayer devotions we Catholics have to the Saints, Angels and of course, the Mother of Jesus. "Son, they have no wine!" Mary always intercedes for us since the beginning. We Catholics are only a part of what Christianity is all about. We love our brother and sisters in Christ and I cannot recall in my life hearing anything bad said about any Protestant denomination. Jehovah Witnesses, yes as they are NOT Christians (Trinitarian) in any sense, but misguided children trying to take our children away from the True Christ. NOW MY REAL INTEREST IN REPLYING (You had to take a crack at the Pope and throw me off track) is that in the course of my research, there is a recent message by a Catholic visionary who mentioned this "Maitreya". I wanted to know more and started my research on the Net. Low and behold I could not believe all the information and that this person is already established with his New Age lovely dovey theology that is going to confuse many people, Christians included. The visionary mentioned said (message allegedly given by Jesus 1/5/97 edited):

"Your physical, mental and Spiritual preparation is vital to your security, to your peace of mind. But, My Children, your Spiritual preparation will putll you through the most difficult of days. Therefore, you must prepare yourselves today spiritually. Please do not delay further. I have told you that there would be persecution of Catholics. There will be imprisonment of Priests and CHRISTIANS as in the days when Jewish peoples were imprisoned. They will destroy your Churches, desecrated your holy images and the Holy Eucharist.
Now some may ask who 'they' are. I will tell you. 'They' are all those who have 'declared' for the AntiChrist, MAITREYA. These people he will force to do his bidding, to help him accomplish his goals to destroy Christianity, and especially Catholicism.
I wish to state clearly here. It is impossible to declare an alliance with Maitreya and still remain a practicing Catholic. My Children, he is the personification of Satan. He is against God and the Catholic Church. You cannot serve God and Satan, my Children. Oh my Children wake up. He is the AntiChrist. Be aware that a declaration for Maitreya is a vote for Satan. Put your distance as far as possible from him. You are easily swayed: his talk convinces, his intent is deadly."

Message 1/6/97: "....My mother has advised you that many signs will appear inn the Heavens and on earth to forewarn you the Great Warning (see Webs for Garabandal - Marian apparitions) is imminent. A large white cross will appearin the sky and all will marvel at its size for the duration it is visible. It shall be visible for 24 hours during the week prior to the Warning.
Of course the most critical of all sign shall be news that the Holy Father has left the Vatican and cannot be found. This news followed by the news that Bishops and those Cardinals still alive or able to vote will elect a new Pontiff. They will then have a "fake" funeral for Pope John Paul II who will be very much alive but in hiding. Due to tthe war-like conditions in Italy and Rome, the Vatican is moving to Jerusalem where Judeo-Christian alliance will be signed supporting the new pontiff. The new pontiff will declare his support for MAITREYA as the ruler, teacher and prophet for the next millennium. In doing so there is established the two-headed beast described in the Book of Revelations-St. John's Apocalypse...."

This new pope is what we Catholics call an "AntiPope", one not truly head of the church or protector of its teachings. You can add "this one" to your list of antichrists. The only place I had ever heard of this Maitreya was in a New Age magazine. Eastwood, please believe we are all in the same battle and we have to stand firm and be strong in faith and judge no one.

This is a message for you, Do not judge Catholic Christians, let God do the judging. Do not add to the pain of attacking the Church that ALL Protestant Sects split from. Man is very proud, and he is not always perfect and neither is the Catholic Church, its leaders or the people in it. "For all have fallen short,..".Keep up with your ministry and remember, judge no one, especially other Christians. AS I KNOW MY JESUS, I AM SO BLESSED TO ALSO KNOW HIS MOTHER! SO EXPAND YOUR RESEARCH and study a little more about the Catholic Church & Mary (I'm sure this part bothers you). ASK JESUS AND YOU MIGHT JUST GET AN ANSWER BECAUSE THAT LADY TOLD YOU IN YOUR E-MAIL. I will pray for you to Jesus and Mary too. Let's see what happens. We Christians have a great battle ahead.

Hi, Jeff!

I really enjoyed and learned a lot from your site. But I've got to take issue with you on this Maitreya thing. Obviously this man and his "prophet" have read Scripture and therefore knew enough to "come in the clouds" (to which I say, "Ha! Let's see him do it without the plane!"), and obviously his plans are to become the one-world leader or anti-Christ. Maybe he's convinced a lot of people around the world of his credentials. But: How many of us free-thinking Westerners are actually ready to confer godhood on a Pakistani immigrant with no last name or work history, just because he can pull off a few magic tricks? By that definition we should have deified David Copperfield years ago. I mean, our Enquiring minds want to know all about people, don't they? And I think we'd have a lot of questions his P.R. man Mr. Creme probably wouldn't want to answer. Besides, Daniel 7:24 and Daniel 11:37, respectively, tell us the anti-Christ will be at least European if not outright Italian, plus descended from people who did worship the true God (which eliminates everybody but Christians and Jews). Can Mr. Maitreya measure up to those Biblical requirements?

There is a link WWW.antichrist.com that seems very antichristian. Maitreya looks sinister and claims that he was/is christ (no capitals on purpose. Some call him the 5th buddha. Don't forget the passage, (paraphrased) "..and he will deceive even the very elect IF IT WERE POSSIBLE.
The Sandedrin gave Jesus of Nazareth, my Lord, His first scourge after He stated (PARA) "..I say to you now that you shall see me return in POWER AND GLORY WITH THE MIGHTY ANGELS.." They laid His face open with that one. Since it was His first comment to His accusers, I believe herein lies the crux of the issue. He isn't a man dressed up in robes who works thru a "medium".
If it is night the night shall turn into light and vice versa. When Christ the True Morning Star returns he will come well prepared to deal with any contingency. The power He will wield will be mind-boggling which is why non-believers will "cry for the rocks to fall upon them."

Hey there Eastwood! Greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ,

Good information on your page, glad ol' Art put it up on his links page. Maybe lots of folks who otherwise would not come in contact with the gospel will see it here. God willing!

I see you are a pre-tribulationalist. I started out that way too some 18 years ago now when I first met Christ. However, after many years of searching the scriptures, I began to find that nowhere are we promised by God to be taken out of the way before tribulation. On the contrary, Jesus promised us that in this world we would have tribulation, but to rejoice in his victory over the world. Maybe you have heard this side of the coin before, but I feel very strongly that what is actually going to precipitate the great apostasy spoken of in 2Thess. is the expectation by many of being "rescued" before the trouble starts, only to find themselves in the midst of it. Lots of folks may have made a "confession" of Christ after hearing that they will not face trouble or persecution, only to find themselves facing that very thing. Hence, big time falling away. You quoted 2 Thess. 2:3, but you should have started back at verse one, because it actually gives a big indication of what I am saying. "Now I request you brethren with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him (i.e., the rapture)...for it will not come unless the apostasy come first and the man of lawlessness is revealed. Apparently, Paul taught and believed, not in an any-moment rapture, but that the Church would indeed see the apostasy and the man of sin come upon the earth. There is tons more in the bible to indicate this.

Some good places to read more are The Second Coming Of Our Lord And Savior Jesu... and Blessed Hope Guestbook. These guys have done a real thorough study. The reason I take the time to write this is I hope many eyes will be open to this truth because I truly believe the pre-trib rapture teaching has put the church to sleep and she will not be prepared for the dark days surely to come upon her soon.

I must object to your fluid use of the scriptures to attempt to "scare" people into your faith, why? for the following reasons...

1) Jesus says "not all who call me Lord will I acknowledge".
2) Wide is the path to purdition and many follow it, narrow is the path to heaven and few can walk it
3) "Christians preach about dying and going to heaven, my KJV says that "all" men die and go to the grave, when Christ rose from the dead many others rose from their graves and were seen visiting friends and loved ones in Jerusalem before ascending to the heavens, "THE 1st RESURRECTION" which the "Christians" (today) covet as "THEIR" Destiny has already occurred (Read your bible a little more closely, you'll find this little tidbit revealed in "ACTS").
4) Christians claim that Jesus is God, this "IS NOT" a teaching of the scriptures but rather a teaching of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH and "all" her bastard Children, the smaller christian tabernacles under watered down "Chritian" titles, they like to claim the Pope as their Vicar, "Christ Representative" on earth, having been passed onto them from the apostle Peter, nothing could be further from the truth, Christ himself tells us that "SATAN" will prevail on earth as an ANGEL OF LIGHT and will decieve even the elect with the miracles and wonders of his false prophets, Satan has infiltrated the flock after the apostles passed on and through "his" established kingdom has persecuted the true saints, look into your history and you will learn that the Holy Roman Church persecuted, unto death those that dared to oppose her, these my friend are the innocent saints that were sent into the wilderness and these are the true blessed saints that Christ will acknowledge, because they did not allow themselves to be defiled by the whores of this world, specifically, the falls religions.
4) The end is truly near, the signs are upon us, the great days of tribulation have surely passed for most, the 7 trumpets have surely been blowing in the fullfilment of prophesy, and the destruction by fire, as promised in the prophecies is due and only the LIVING God knows the hour, by the way, if God alone knows the hour, and Jesus himself declares that he doesn't know the hour, how can you Christians declare CHRIST AS GOD.
5) Paul teaches that man keep his hair cut and head uncovered to glorify himself to god and "women" keep their hair long to glorify their husband in keeping their head covered, why is it that "Christians" suggest that our lord Christ was a "Long haired" Fem looking man.
6) in fact, why do Christians feel it necessary to conjur any image of Christ when God says "not" to make "any" Image of "anything" in Heaven or in the Sea or on Earth or beneath the earth, yet Christians go crazy over their cross, over madona's statues of saints(theirs of course).
7) Christ himself instructs us to "pray to God" as he did, why do Christians pray to Christ, oh, I forgot, your god claims to be God.

You can see by my above examples that the "ANTI CHRIST" is surely among us and he has been in power fo almost 2000 years, since he was cast out of heaven with his angels (again, read the scriptures and find the truth), he sent out a flood to get the remnants of the holy ones, he wanted the freedom to control his own destiny and to worship and/or be worship as he chose, he has turned over his power and authority to the beast to mislead the nations, and with riches and delecacies he will consume them with peace and flatteries, BTW, how do you enjoy "YOUR" freedom and all your creature comforts that the modern system has made available to you.

in revelation we find that 3 foul spirits are released in the end times and their time on earth is 5 month's, the god of these spirits has the greek name "APOLLYON", who in greek mythology was the god of Music, Light and Medicine and they have the power to hurt man but not kill him.
Let me conjur an Image in your mind, in the "1960's" did we have a "Sexual revolution" (The beginning of a new perverted society which turns away from natural affections), did this revolution involve a "new" form of music (Rock and Roll), and doesn't Rock n' Roll make heavy use of Lighting affects (Today it is lasers), and didn't this unusual period bring in the wide spread "abuse" of Medications and also the exceptance of clinically autorized mind or mood altering medications.

I found more about Maitreya via Share Int'l Magazine. I am thinking about checking out Mr. Creme's 'seminar' in S.F. this coming July 16. I'll probably forgo the next day mediation-i.e.(brainwashing) for obvious reasons. But I'll be more than happy to check out some of his books. I'll let you know what I found out.

I really like your home page-- I do beg to differ with you on the definition of religions. I guess that it could be like Republicans and Democrats. People do swear by their party affiliation. And by their religion. Those of us who are children of God shouldn't differ how we get there. At least not in a negitive way. We all should be supportive of each other. Not critical of each other's beliefs. I too, do not like the way that each church interprets their beliefs as they see fit. But it might be better for an identity than not. Especially in this day and age. Let's stick together as much as possible. It's only right.

I found your website today. I have a unusual theory on 666, since it is different from all the rest maybe you would be interested in some of my thoughts.

THE ANTICHRIST 666
THE SON OF PERDITION

I am writing this letter to explain who the Antichrist is and why we have not been able to identify him; where he is coming from and who is sending him. It is essential for the church to identify him before we are raptured. I have outlined scriptures which will help you to understand my theory on this subject.

I am a child of God, like you, we know that there cometh a day when the Lord will judge us for our works and I am writing for you to help me do mine.

Daniel 7:20 (KJV) and Rev. 19:19 describes the Revised Roman Empire (or the ten toes of iron and clay described in Nebuchadnezzar's dream) in the European Common Market of today and its leader called the beast - that is soon to come. In the book of Zechariah 11:16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces. It describes a shepherd that God will raise up in the land (Israel), it is important to note that the beast, in Daniel 7:20, and the shepherd are the same. God is sending the shepherd so we know that it is not the work of man nor of satan.(2 Thess. 2:11-12) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they shall believe a lie; That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (God is the one sending the delusion). Revelation 6:1-2 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. The Lamb mentioned is referring to Jesus Christ and the one on the white horse is referring to the anti-christ that He is sending.
The scriptures above have shown that Jesus is the one sending the anti-christ to fulfill God's purpose.

Why the church hasn't been able to identify the anti-christ?
In Revelation 13:18, we find these words: Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast. It has been 1900 years since God has given us this challenge.

God told Daniel and John the Revelator part of their visions were to be sealed until the last days. Knowledge shall increase in the last days, Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. The church hasn't been able to identify the anti-christ because God has withheld the understanding until the proper time.

I believe all things are in place for the rapture to happen except for one. Which is for the anti-christ who is the son of Predition to be revealed. The apostle Paul was writing to the Thessalonian church concerning the coming of Christ or the rapture found in the following scriptures. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2-3 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; this is one scripture that must be yet fulfilled. Though there is proof in Revelation 6:2, that the anti-christ is coming at the very beginning of the tribulation period when the first seal is opened. I, like many others, believe that the church will be gone before the tribulation begins and does not experience any of that 7 year period.

Who is the Anti-Christ?
I believe, if I were to search out the scriptures to identify this person, it would not be possible for me or anyone else to find this information without God's spirit leading in this direction. I have studied the Bible since I first became a Christian and at this time, I believe, God has led me to scriptures revealing who the Anti-Christ is going to be.

People have asked me why I was able to reveal this instead of someone well known. There are many great men who study prophecy today and I have been enriched by the work they have done in their ministries, and I am part of the fruit of their laborers. To do the Lord's will is my only purpose for writing this letter. I can relate to a scripture found in Luke 10:21, In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, father; for so it seemed good in they sight.

About 6 years ago I began to notice this scripture: Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six. Prophecies in the Bible are hard to understand, after reading what God says and his interpretation to the prophecy you wonder is there any way that someone could come to the proper conclusion without his help. I wonder if we would have recognized Jesus by his prophecies, or would we say? I can not be sure. I see this scripture as a riddle that GOD gives us and four hints to help solve it: wisdom, understanding, man, six hundred threescore and six. There is an important rule to interpreting prophecy and that is the prophecy must be interpreted within the scriptures. I did not limit my search to other pre-drawn conclusions nor did I stagger at my findings for all things are possible with God.

In the beginning to look for hints in scripture concerning these four clues I found one person that had all of these characteristics. The first scripture is found in I Kings 4:29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. 2 Chronicles 9:13 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold. Revelation 13:18 for it is the number of a man, it is important to remember that in this verse the anti-christ is described as a man. No other person in Israel's history has achieved fame, power, wealth and peace like Solomon.

Jesus said in John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. The anti-christ is coming as a Christ to the Jews; since they believe in the Old Testament alone, he will have to fulfill many of the Old Testament scriptures. Antichrist - one who usurps (seizes or holds authority by force) Christ name and rights. There is a prophecy in the New Testament telling of a time coming when the anti-christ will enter into the newly rebuilt temple and declare himself to be God. This will come at a time when Israel will be greatly divided because the two witnesses which God will send testifies against the anti-christ . You may wonder why some of the Jews even believe that he is God. In the book of Matthew 22: 41-45, conversation is recorded between Jesus and the Pharisees concerning the book of Psalms. While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He said unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord (God), how is he his son? The point of these verses is to show that David, inspired of God 's spirit, called his Son which is Christ (Jehovah). This will help to explain why some will believe Solomon as the Christ and will not be offended when he stands in the temple and declares himself to be God. In Luke 3:31 the scripture goes to great length to trace Jesus' lineage back to David proving that he is the Christ . I can see that the Jewish people of Jesus' day and of now expected the Christ to come from the family of David. Matthew 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. Matthew 21:30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. Matthew 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying. Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. These scriptures show examples of faithful people who were waiting for the promise of the Messiah to come, and it surely illustrates that he will come from the family of David.

1 Chronicles 22: 9 & 10 - Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days. He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. If I were a Jew who did not believe in Jesus but still expected the Messiah to come I might see this as God keeping his promise.

As christians who know Jesus as our saviour, we can now see that David had two sons to set upon his throne; one of the flesh and one of the spirit. I can see a similar pattern in the book of Galatians, and it is important to notice how Paul changes the word promise to spirit. Galatians 4:22, 23, 29 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

I have often wondered about David and Bathsheba's first son who died as though it were a punishment for their sin. Could he have died because God didn't intend for him to inherit the throne? Instead the second son became the rightful heir of the throne as God promised David, according to the flesh. There are only two men mentioned in the scripture by the name Son of Perdition - one is Solomon, the other is Judas who betrayed Jesus. They are similar in many ways: they both received a great calling from God, they had a desire for the things of the world, no where in scripture do we find a testimony of repentance for either. Scripture says what would we have gained if we would have gained the whole world and lost our own soul or what would we give in exchange for our souls.

By now I am sure you have realized that I think Solomon is the anti-christ. Solomon's name means peaceable, Daniel says he will destroy many by the way of peace. He also calls him the king of fierce countenance. Nearly three thousand years have now passed since Solomon died, Luke the 16th chapter describes a place where men go who die in their sins of many torments. When Solomon is released from Hades he will no longer have peace on his mind but revenge against God and his people.

Daniel 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his father, nor the desire of women, most would agree that the first part of this scripture is indicating to us that he is a Jew. The second part of the scripture has been considered that he might be homosexual. The scriptures tell us that Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines after God had warned him of having foreign wives. The book of Genesis tells us that the spirit of God will not always strive with man. The book of Exodus tells us the soul that sins against me, I will blot his name out of the book of life. In Solomon's own words, vanity is vanity all is vanity.

Where he is coming from?
Before we get into this part I want to show from the scriptures the several different places in which Jesus was prophesized to come from. Matthew 2: 4 & 5 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea. Matthew 2: 14 & 15 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Matthew 2: 22 & 23 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, beingwarned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, he shall be called a Nazarene. The reason I went to the trouble of applying these scriptures is to show you Jesus came from many different places and I also believe that the anti-christ is described in the Bible as coming from many different places.

In Revelation 13:18, scripture says: Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man. This scripture gives a strong indication that the anti-christ is only a man. Most bible believers know that at death the soul and the spirit of a man departs the body. The righteous go to paradise which is in heaven today, the lost go to hades which is in the heart of the earth to wait for the white throne judgment before being cast into the lake of fire.

One of the reasons for not being able to understand who the anti-christ will be is for the fact that we should be looking for a resurrection from the dead instead of someone being born into this world. I have stated before that the coming of the anti-christ is God's work to fulfill his purpose. The one who is to come will be coming out of hades as a lost soul. Luke the 16th chapter describes a place of the righteousness and a place where the tormented are with a great gulf between them, which no man can cross. The purpose of this statement is to show this is not a problem if God is the one bringing him out.

There is only two compartments left in the heart of the earth now; since paradise was taken to heaven when Jesus ascended back to God is father. The first is tartarsus and the second is hades with a tunnel leading to them called the abyss. Some have confused the abyss as a third compartment but I will go to the scripture to explain my understanding of the place called the abyss.

Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit (abyss) shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. Since we know from Revelation 13:18 that thman he should be ascending out of hades. Another scripture, Luke 8:31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep (abyss); this is a familiar story in the bible where Jesus was asked by the demons if he was going to torment them before their time by sending them into the deep (abyss) the proper place for demons to be held is in Tartarsus. Since these are demons or fallen angels and the scripture before dealt with a man and they were both going in and out of the abyss. Since the soul and spirit of man is just as alive as the day it departed from the body only the body need be resurrected.

Solomon's body is buried in the city of David according to scriptures. I believe that the tomb with the remains will soon be found and the false prophet will be the one who raises him from the dead in front of all of Israel to witness. He will probably be convinced that Satan has freed him from his place of torment and he will believe in the scheme to try to overthrow God again.

It is expected that the anti-christ will come from the revised Roman Empire and I have shown that he will also be a shepherd of Israel according to Zechariah 11:16. Instead of the E.C. ruling over Israel, as some would believe it to be, I see just the opposite taking place for the first three and one half years. The wisest man in history who will be Israel's king will quickly be able to identify where the rebuilding of the temple should be for he was the one who built the first. I believe the European Alliance will seek him for his ability and wisdom to lead them.

I believe what is written in this letter is scripturely true, yet we must acknowledge that this is only a theory based on our christian understanding.

I found your site a few weeks ago through Art Bell. I have been meaning to write to you for a while, but have not had the time to. in short, i want to congradulate you on your work. I never heard of this Maitreya charcter before i read about him on your site. Since that time, i have often thought about what you wrote. I must admit, the evidence you presented, however circumstantial it might be, is interesting food for thought. The information on the Project Share site is also interesting food for thought. I do not know the truth in this situation, neither site offered much in the way of delineating that, but then again, i don't think ANYONE, save maitreya, knows the real score. However, common logic allows for some observations to be made, and rather logical conclusions (at least to me) to be drawn. Care to hear them?

FACT: there is a man caliming to be the "savior" of the world, who is backed by a UN sponsored organization.

FACT: this individual has highly developed psychic powers, as is evidenced by his telepathic communications and sudden apperances/disapperances. I am an engineer, and i know for a fact that psychic phenomena can be made physically manifest at will. If you don't beleive me, then consider the fact that for 1000's of years, man thought the sun rotated around the earth, then through science, we learned otherwise. FACT: this character has made his intentions clear; he desires to guide (also read as lead) the world into spiritual reawakening, and declare himself Jesus, Maudi, etc..

FACT: he ALREADY states that there will be opposition to his messages, and says that will be a "unfortunate consequence" of his coming out. Those who oppose him will eventually see the right in his way, and choose to follow him.

FACT: the majority of the world lives in poverty, and does not have adequate food, shelter or health care. maitreya's messages are geared to appeal to those people. his messages, though noble sounding, are worded to distinguish those that have, from those that have not. his principles are designed to take away from those that have and give to those that have not.

FACT: Adolf Hitler used the same type of oratoracal ploy in his early speeches, the ones that brought the nazi party to power. he angered and inspired the common man by pointing out huge economic differences between Germany and the rest of Europe. Hitler also used similarly designed "principles" for popular control, branding the Jews as the head of the group of haves.

FACT: most people would rather pass the buck than do anything for themselves. what i mean is that we have many problems in this world, all of which CAN be solved by mankind. We don't need need an individual solving our problems for us. For humanity to evolve and mature, we MUST solve our problems ourselves, not take the easy way out. this applies to global, as well as regional and national problems. For example, all nations must help stop global warming, and ozone depletion, but each nation should be responsible for the welfare of its own people. My tax dollars should not go to feed refugees in Rawanda, when we have so many homeless, hungry people in the US.

FACT: man is a violent, territorial animal. were it not for our violent instincts, we never would have survived as hunter-gatherers, created empires or settled new frontiers. our territorial instincts tell us "what's mine is mine, and should stay mine, unless I decide to give it up"

FACT: magic is science that is not understood by the general populace. Think how ordinary people 200 years ago would describe computers, cell phones, microwaves, air conditioning, etc...

I have many more FACTS i would like to share with you.

SCENARIO: when maitreya announces himself to the world, most people will see it on TV, and according to him, all will hear him in their heads. His messages and principles will most quickly appeal to third world citizens. Hearing his voice in their heads will cause most uneducated people and many educated people, to think him supernatural. A few more unexpected apperances and disapperances, most in 3rd world countries, will add further credance to his supernatural origin. as the days go on, and all we hear is this character's messages, more and more people will begin to believe in him. trouble will start when 3rd world countries demand the resources of the developed nations as promised under the principle of sharing. violence will begin when people are forced to give away food, clothing, money, etc... those who oppose maitreya will at first be tolerated, then humiliated, then persecuted. while violence is breaking out between maitreya's supporters and opposers, maitreya will be pleading for an end to the violence and mayhem on one hand, and encouraging his supporters on the other.

Please understand that this scenario is really generalized and not specific enought to really do it justice. i will GLADLY send you more facts and a longer scenario if you express interest in receiving them. While I don't agree with everything you're saying, I do share your deep-seated dread of the Maitreya. When I see his picture, I get this feeling of evil I can't totally explain.

However, everything we know of him is through Benjamin Creme, who only claims to communicate with him telepathically. The only pictures we have of Maitreya are from 1988 in Kenya, and this could be a set-up. And, while there are other more recent reports of his appearance, so far as I know, there are no photos.

Do you have any corroboration of the existence of Maitreya other than through Creme? I don't entirely dismiss the possibility that he doesn't exist and that Creme is a con-artist who's making himself fabulously wealthy while promoting a false messiah along with an obvious new-age socialism.

Dear Eastwood: I am no stranger to this topic. I surfed in from the Art Bell Link. I, like others, listen to Art because its an entertaining way to keep tabs on what the enemy is saying and planning. In general there is typically some Guru, being of light, ascended master, alien, channeller, etc. with essentially the same message which goes something like....be open minded and begin to prepare yourself for the massive earth and spiritual changes coming shortly...those who do not will either be exterminated or zapped out of this plain of existence. As a "Fundamentalist Christian" I am looking forward to either fate. Regarding the maitreiya...is he the AntiChrist? Could be. Why not the False Prophet who paves the way for the AntiChrist? If everyone believes the "big M" is the embodiment of the "Christ principle" then everyone would be happy to follow his teaching that the political world leader, yet to enter the world stage, is indeed god with a capital g. As you can see, I like so many others, am quite confused by the rapidly excelerating fulfillment of Biblical prophecy culminating the end of the Church Age. I look forward to meeting you......soon!

You might be very right and at the point. Although, some say that no one know who the antichrist is yet. Many speculations about different people. I know he is alive and incarnated at this present time. I have seen him. He wanted to harm me but he could not for I was more powerful with Jesus in my mind and heart.
This is not the first time I encountered him. I always fought him the same way. It was not an easy fight. I even died but Jesus brought me back. I was alone in my house when all these happened. Does anyone believe me? I doubt it but perhaps you might.

Our end is very near. By 1999 everything will be changed. Very few of us will be left on the earth. I have seen everything in advance. I do not consider myself a prophet. I just know what I am told through my communications with God. HE talks to me sometimes in plain language. I know that I will be one of the few who will save some of us from this planet. Do you believe me? You better for I do not have any reason to lie. We live in a skeptical world which was created on purpose for the present chaos.

The pure souls, the ones who believe in Jesus will be the only ones who will survive the cataclysm which is coming sooner than we expect. Be blessed and never lose the faith it does not matter what. Tough times already are here.

Dear Eastwood,
I came across your webpage this evening after browsing the Art Bell web page. To be honest the link title was 'Crop Circles and the Antichrist' and I thought, "Oh this oughta be good for a few laughs." However, after perusing your site I was struck by how you simultaneously possessed an obviously keen and curious mind, and an equally strong faith in God, yet all while maintaing a light-hearted sense of humor. I was reminded of the wonderful British writer C.S. Lewis (The Screwtape Letters etc.). This was a rare experience for me (my brother and his wife are born again, and i have spoken with them extensively regarding Christianity, as well as many of there born again friends only to much disappointment). To be blunt i am a skeptic, but equally so towards both Christianity and the "New Age Movement" (and just about everything outside and in between the two). I guess what i am leading to is the question, "Would you care to open a dialogue with a skeptic?" I was baptized Christian but have since lost Faith (if indeed, i ever had it to begin with). I have read the Bible many times in addition to much historical Judeo-Christian religious research. I am also well-read as regards many of the foundational texts of other religions. In short, i am intensely curious about why we're here, where we're going and what's going to happen to us, as you seem to be.

Let me just throw out some thoughts (these might seem somewhat scattershot, but are leading to a point, i hope).

The Bible is a beautiful book filled with many valuable truths, and has much to teach. Given. However, the Holy Bible is more than 2000 years old and has been through many hands and almost countless translations. If i am correct (and let me be the first to say that i am often wrong) from the original version written in Hebrew it was then, later, translated into Arabic, Greek/Latin. And later still, as the gospel spread, it was translated into many other languages including English. With Martin Luther and the Catholic Reformation both the Bible and Christianity were once more altered. As a born again Protestant Christian let me ask you, "How can the Word sustain the translation of so many men unaltered? Let me be more precise: If the Bible is truly the unalterable Word of God then how can it be so easily mistranslated, so easily altered?" Example: Which version of the Bible do you read from? King James? New Standard? etc... Moreover, your use of the word 'Lucifer' which you translated correctly as meaning "light bearer", is a translation from the Latin version. In the original Hebrew that is a different word with a different meaning altogether. The word the Hebrew used for Satan, Mastema, Belial, Beelzebub, and Lucifer bore no relation to "light bearer", rather it was a three character word that represented either their external enemies at the time (Philistines, Egyptians, Sodomites etc.), or a spiritual enemy such as the divisions among the Israelites during the wars of King David or the return of the exiles from Babylon during the sixth century B.C.E. Interestingly, the Essenes, who divorced themselves from traditional Jewish society denounced that same society as "satanic." ( This latter information is from the Dead Sea Scrolls of Nag Hammadi).

I suppose my point or question, perhaps, is this. What you have said is incorrect. Factually, literally incorrect. It is not true, and yet it supposedly is the Word of God. Is Faith believing in what you know ain't so, to quote Mark Twain (or in this case, maybe, what you don't know ain't so), or am i really missing something here?

Anyway, I am very curious and interested in your response.

Just read your art bell link. interesting. i encourage you to continue your link to art bell's web page as long as you can. i listen to his program to see what others are thinking (and also because it's entertaining, i admit it!). he seldom has anything on what we would consider orthodox Christian beliefs, but he has moderated his hostility towards Christianity. he has had Malachi Martin on several times, & occasionally will reference end time events as mentioned in Revelation. i have watched sightings & programs like it for several years and enjoy good science fiction. i have noticed the lines between fantasy & a pseudo religion are increasingly blurred, to the point that an event like heaven's gate just had to happen. i predicted the reaction of many people would be "who are we to judge these people & their noble beliefs?" this is why your sight is needed. it can be used of God to reach people attracted to the paranormal & ufo madness thats going on.

"there are more things in heaven & earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy". so said Billy Shakespeare. Sir Francis Bacon said it a little differently. he said " the human understanding is of it's own nature prone to suppose the existence of more order and regularity in the world than it finds." i suspect much of the unexplained are natural events that are simply not understood, or a hoax. if you watch "arthur c. clarke's mysterious universe" on the discovery channel or come across similar shows or books, you can see examples of this. however, i do believe it is likely some of these events are related to demonic activity. as an observer & not a particpant i can avoid making a final decision about it. in the end it is not the event, rather the faith focused on these events, that i find disturbing.

i forgot to mention a book you might be interested in. c.s. lewis has a book that isn't as well known as most of his others, but it is well worth reading & has been helpful to me when talking to scientist-athiests & paranormal followers.

the book is called "Miracles- A Preliminary Study". it has almost nothing to do with what most people mean when they refer to a miracle. C.S. Lewis-"I use the word Miracle to mean an interference with Nature by supernatural power. if you haven't read it check it out.

An explanation of the difference between demons and fallen angels:

The demons in the days of Noah and before that were called Nephilim and were in fact physical. Satan's plan was to corrupt the blood line and prevent the possibility of a future savior. He did this via fallen Angels mating with the daughters of Adam and creating the Nephilim. The Lord had to deal with this problem which was another reason for the flood. To wipe them out. Now they're spirtual and are really quite unhappy without a body and thus seek embodyment. These are the ones who can possess people. However usually not without the persons allowing it to happen. Also the demon has no hope of a future resurection.

There is somthing equilly as sinister going on today. I don't know exactly how it's happening but basically there is a race or in fact several races of genetically engineered beings being created by the fallen angels. It's actually been going on for hunderds of years but is now at it's peak. These beings are now mascarading and allowing socity to believe that they are aliens. It's all part of the great deception which is comming very soon. You know, the one the Lord allows Satan to perform. It's so great that if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived. These beings are now (and have been for some time) self sustaining and are responsible for human abductions and killing cattle , crop circles and many many other unexplained things.

Most people think I'm crazy so I usually keep quiet, but I know I'm right. Sorry there just isn't enough time or space for me to explain myself very well here. The most important thing is that were getting very close to the Lord's return. People don't believe me when I tell them that either. Oh well.

Okay, Eastwood, I've read your view, and I've listened to tapes by Chuck Missler on the subject as well. On the other hand, I've also studied, for years, the lore of the "UFOlogists."

My conclusions?

Could be. Which one? Both. Could be we're being visited by ET, and/or interdimensional beings. Could also be that they are manifestations of the devil. I'm still not convinced either way. If they're physical visitors from the stars, how come they can circumvent some fundamental physical laws? They seem to be capable of going mach 10 in our atmosphere with no sonic boom; they also seem to (according to abductee accounts) walk through walls, levitate an abductee, then carry them through the wall with them. Hmmm. That sounds credible. NOT. Are those dreams and/or hallucinations? If so, why are so many people having the same one?

Which brings me to the "demon" theory. Of course if these guys are really fallen angels, there's no telling what they might be capable of perpetrating. Walking through walls might be a piece of cake to them in that case scenario.

There is a third theory. That these guys are not fallen angels, but they are angels, and that they are the beings described by Ezekiel in chapter of the same name in the Old Testament. It certainly seems that old Zeke was having an ET experience.

On the other hand, there are hoards of ex-military personnel out there who claim to have worked with the government and that the government is working with these ETs. That does not preclude the fact that these beings might be demonic and mis-representing themselves to our military, but it would seem more likely that they are physical beings than otherwise, in that case scenario.

As you can see, after years of private research, I still "don't know nuthin."

I checked out your web page and found it interesting--but a bit too sensational for my tastes. There have been many times in the past 2000 years when it was almost certain the Lord would return. Many, many times, THE antichrist has been anticipated--and the prognosis proved to be wrong. This is because we come to critical times of stress when the Lord COULD come and then He turns the clock back another 50-100 years. The identity of the final man of sin is, I believe, hidden from us until after the departure of the true church.

We are in an age of great deception now, and it will get worse, therefore we need to be anchored and rooted in the Word "steadfast and immovable".

There are so many things on so many fronts that are teetering on the knife's edge that surely something must be happening soon regarding the "kickoff" of the seventieth week of Daniel. I too am Pre-trib and tend to lean in the direction of Ezk 38-39 before that week. With what is happening in Israel, boy, it sure seems close.

This is my very first letter on "the Net". How nice. You have picqued my interest however, as I am an avid Bible Prophecy fan also. Now on this Maitreya guy . . . I had Joe print out some goodies from his Web Site and gave it over to our Pastor to review. His comeback was that Maitreya is "one of many antichrists" - not necessarily THE antichrist. He didn't seem too phased about it. The whole thing gives me the chills - and we're not talking Holy Ghost goosebumps!!! Anyway, it's nice to know there's a fellow warrior out there.

Our Pastor had suggested that (my husband) Joe come against this Maitreya somehow on the internet. Any suggestions on how we could throw a few fiery darts his way?

I had heard of the appearance of Maitreya in Africa, but had not seen anything definite on it. I checked the Web site, and it is something, my friend. Is this the Antichrist? I don't know. If I said, "impossible", I would be careless. He certainly seems to have caught the pattern of Messinic counterfeit expectations by Bible believers.

Of course, this could be some nut who read the books and the Bible and figured out how to get some attention. Again, I would not say that has to be the thing here.

Will the saints identify Antichrist before the Rapture? I believe htat is the case. I see this implied in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17...

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

The day of Christ is spoken of as the hope of the Church, not Israel. That means we are talking about the Rapture, not the 2nd Advent to rule and reign. So "that day" of the Church's catching away will not come until the man of sin is revealed. It is only clearly given her, so it is not the main event. We must beware of making the Antichrist's identity a high priority. It is not needed for any particular spiritual victory-- it simply will be available to us to identify him. I don't think a soul will care if we know who he is, even some Christians will mock at him as "not the final Antichrist." So, don't make too big a fuss over this fellow. BUT, do keep an eye on him. We are not ignorant of his devices, right?

I think this is close enough that I may transfer it to my Web site in case someone tries to pull it to change the Satanic strategy. You might want to copy and paste the text to some storage area yourself.
