A reader recently e-mailed me about my claim that Share International had UN ties. He or she (ya never can tell with some screen names!) wanted to know how to check this claim out.

"Did you bother to go to their site and check? It's on the main page, right near the top!", I thought to myself. I get a lot of mail, and sometimes the questions seem kinda dumb. Well, I immediately got a lesson in humility...

I popped over to SI to get the proper URL for my friend, and *poof* ... that info had vanished! Sometime in the last month or so, they have made some editing changes and no longer "share" this tidbit of info with the casual surfers. I was quite surprised, and a little intrigued to say the least (as well as humbled for thinking that it was a dumb question!)

Well, it just so happens that I bought a couple of issues of this lovely mag during my Atlanta Trip last November. So here, without further adieu, is a scan of the inside cover of their November 1997 issue.

You can run, but you can't hide, guys!

Now, I don't know exactly what that "in association with" bit is supposed to mean, but it sure seems strange to me that the UN would have anything to do with a guy who many people consider a kook!

Perhaps they know something we don't?

Perhaps Benjamin Creme really is talking to something that exists?

Perhaps Maitreya isn't just a figment of his imagination, and has actually appeared to some of these elitist folks who are running our world? After all, Share International has made claims like that before! (If you don't believe me, go to their site and try a search... )

Relationship of Share International to the United Nations

Share International Foundation is a member of the NGO (non-governmental organization) community at the United Nations. Currently, there are over 1,500 organizations with NGO status, which is granted to organizations that are seen to have goals broadly commensurate with the UN's own inclusive and humanitarian agenda. These organizations have agreed to work co-operatively with the UN Department of Public Information to disseminate information about UN programmes and resolutions to their respective members, communities, news media, and outreach audiences. The UN does not provide funding to NGOs.
