Off-season nude recreation for nudist/naturist couples and families in Northern New England

The Sherwood Forest Club is a non-landed nudist club affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation. Many couples are now members of Northern New England's finest , and oldest non-landed nudist club. Your SFC membership not only includes membership in the AANR, and its monthly nudist newspaper, The Bulletin, but also permits you to attend several indoor nudist events through the winter months at moderate cost. Your AANR card also opens doors and provides discounts at scores of landed nudist parks across North America.

Nudism in Cold Winter Months?

Yes, the Sherwood Forest Club holds several indoor nudist events in Northern New England through the autumn, winter, and spring months. This helps all Yankee nudists to get through the cold, dark winters with a tinge of warmth, a soak and a swim, and the relaxation that comes with social nudism.

We are a couples-only (man/woman) and family oriented nudist group.

How about in the warm weather months?

The warmer months bring us outdoors in the New England sunshine. Many of our members also hold membership in, or regularly visit Cedar Waters Village, an independently-owned, non-affiliated, family-oriented landed nudist park in Nottingham, New Hampshire. This park is located on a 300-acre wooded site and has a spring-fed, 20 acre lake with a large sunning lawn, two modern jacuzzis, a large sauna, a restaurant (open weekends in season). Activities include boating, swimming, sailing, canoeing, sunning, hiking, volleyball (the nudist national pastime!) and social events on weekends in season.

How do we join?

If you are sincerely interested in joining, or wish to know more about nudism, write to the information officer of the Sherwood Forest Club with a business-size, SASE, 312 Pine Street, Dover-Foxcroft ME 04436 or call the phone number listed above.

You can also EMail us at:sfcnow@juno.com.

During the summer months, visitors to Cedar Waters Village can seek out the Sherwood Forest Club certifying officer during their visit, as he is in residence there. Look for the yellow Sherwood Forest Club sign!

Who can join?

At the present time, membership in the Sherwood Forest Club, and attendance at its events, is only available to couples (man/woman) and families. We are not accepting applications from unaccompanied singles at this time and we are unable to make exceptions to this policy. .

You need not be a member of a nudist/naturist group or organization to inquire about SFC or to attend our events.

What can we expect?

You can expect a relaxed day with a group of congenial, down-to-earth people. Most find social nudism to be an exhilarating and relaxing experience, and walk away refreshed, ready to face the rigors of the world. Those of us in high-stress situations find the relaxation provided by nudism to be a necessary break; a recharge of body and spirit.

We feel that we offer an excellent opportunity for those couples who always have wanted to try nudism, but didn't know where to start, or what to expect. We go out of our way to give a warm welcome to first-timers.

We hope that you will contact us and join us in one of our winter activities.
