Noting the excessively poor performance of the original Dralthi Mark 1, Kilrathi
engineers soon began adapting a more effective design. Leaving the original
frame of the Dralthi, they replaced the laser cannon with a mass driver, increasing
it's effectiveness as a fighter craft, as well as improving the shield system so that
the Dralthi Mark 2 could withstand more punishment than it's predecessor.
The Dralthi Mark 2 served well for the years that followed after it's inception,
and was replaced by the Dralthi Mark 3.
