The Fralthi class cruiser was mass-produced in 2654, and several dozen were pressed
into service. The heaviest Kilrathi ship in existence at the time, the Fralthi's heavy guns and
shielding were nonetheless no match for it's Terran counterparts, and it often took two or
even three of these ships to match the Terran forces. Not a problem, considering the
multitudes of Fralthi in existence. The Fralthi class design was the first Kilrathi attempt to
move away from their preferred battle ship design into a platform capable of
transporting a large number of fighters, and the later models which included a launch
bay were capable of supporting 20 fighters.
