The Snakeir was the first true Kilrathi "carrier" in that it sacrificed the heavy weapons
loadout favored by Kilrathi in their capital ships in favor of expanded fighter
capacity. The Snakeir proved to be an effective craft, however, as Kilrathi carrier
design progressed, these were soon retired in favor of the more powerfully
armed capital ships. The Snakeir carried a maximum of 40 fighters.
