The Kilrathi star base of 2669 served as the staging area for several devastating
fleet actions in the tail end of the 2nd Kilrathi War. They were capable of servicing
dozens of fighters, repairing capital ships, and holding vital sectors with a permanent,
overwhelming military prescence. The only shortcoming is that, if left to fend
for itself without other space-based military assistance, the star base's lack of
heavy defenses and engines would make it easy prey for a bombing strike.
