Resaca has always been a favourite
with the PLA and has been a very good event in the past. This year
one of the main forces in the organizing group was missing for health
reasons, and his presence was sorely missed. Attendance was low as
well, so the combined effect was to have one of the worst events
which has been held on this site. Hopefully the organizers will fix
this before next year, when they propose to have a major event for
the 135th.
If the event was poorly organized,
at least the weather was good. Resaca can be extremely hot, but this
year the weather was almost perfect. The PLA camped in the same spot
as last year so as not to be bothered by artillery vehicles driving
through the tents, and to escape the antics of the FLA (Florida
Lawnmower Artillery), and since the civilian camp had been moved, we
had the hilltop all to ourselves.
The less said about the battles,
the better, so we will leave it at that.
