The Adventures of Jimmie Dale ends with Jimmie and the Tocsin drifting away in a leaky rowboat, free at least from the dangers that had driven them underground in the first place. The Further Adventures of Jimmie Dale begins not ten minutes later when the Tocsin, knowing that not all her enemies had been elikinated, tearfully pulls a ruse on Jimmie to escape once again into the New York underworld, setting off another round of adventures.

Jimmie Dale - Phantom Clue Jimmie Dale and the Phantom Clue by Frank L. Packard
Years passed before Packard chose to revive Jimmie Dale. World War I had happened; the world had changed. Jimmie and the Tocsin's wedding has been put on hold for the war, then sometimes comes up that sends the Tocsin scurrying back underground and Jimmie dashes to find her. This story was the first Jimmie Dale novel plotted as a continuous novel, serialized in six parts.

The White Moll The White Moll by Frank L. Packard
The White Moll is not a Jimmie Dale adventure but a curious twist on the original concept. Rhoda Grey is a do-gooder in the badlands. She is asked to fulfill the dying request of Gypsy Nan, a repentant member of a gang. Gypsy Nan asks Rhoda to steal some money that the gang was planning to steal, only steal it first so they can't get it. But Rhoda is caught in the act and only the intervention of a mysterious adventurerlets her escape. With the police on the look out for her, Rhoda's only hope is to disguise herself as Gypsy Nan while she tries to clear her name, but being Gypsy Nan has it's dangers as well.
