Mollie Steinhauer Recipe

This is a very easy, less time consuming coffee cake than the traditional Kuga with a different texture and taste but, equally delicious.


Dough

2

cups

flour

1

teaspoon

baking powder

1

teaspoon

baking soda

1

teaspoon

ground cinnamon

¼

teaspoon

nutmeg

cup

sugar

1

 

egg

1

cup

milk

½

cup

orange juice

½

cup

oil

  • Sift first 7 ingredients, add milk, oil and orange juice.  Mix well.
  • Top with crumbs before baking.
  • Pour into square pan and bake for 35 minutes at 350°.  

Crumb Topping

½

cup

butter

cup

flour

2

tablespoons

sugar

¼

teaspoons

cinnamon

  • Mix well and sprinkle over the cake before baking.
