An anjoyable mystery, full of Southwestern color and emotional intensity, despite an improbable villain.

Genre: Mystery (Police Procedural)
Synopsis: This is an unabridged recording of Ill Wind. Ranger Pigeon, now in the Mesa Verde National Park, becomes a part of investigation when a colleague is found dead under suspicious circumstances. Further investigation reveals something pernicious in the park, which some attribute to supernatural influence. Anna, however, believes in perfidy of the living.
Her search for the criminal takes her to dangerous places, both on the mountains and in her heart.
Full Review: Another pleasant book in the series, the mystery is well rounded with an interesting protagonist, quirky characters, and the vivid color of the place,
Many of the less admirable people in this book have reasons for their actions, and thus add complexity and moral ambiguity to the struggle of cop against criminal.
The villain of the book is rather too persistent and successful to be entirely plausible. Otherwise, this is a very good mystery, that adds to the series, while quite enjoyable on its own.
