Turn every diabetes obstacle into a challenge you can improve 
upon. 
 Although type 1 diabetes sometimes runs in families, type 2 diabetes is commonly seen in family members.  If your family has a history of type 2 diabetes, encourage your relatives to stay fit and exercise because diet and exercise can prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.
Exercise has been shown to improve blood sugars for the next one to two days.
