Have the vision
to prevent problems before they occur.
Diabetic retinopathy is the eye disease caused by elevated blood sugar.  High sugars result in weakening and leakage in the small blood vessels behind the eye and can lead to blindness.  The good news is that most  diabetic eye problems can be prevented by excellent diabetes control and by having at least an annual dilated eye exam with appropriate therapy.
Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness in adults ages 20 to 74.  Intervene early to save sight.
