The Essential
Dawson's Creek

The only web site you'll ever need for all things Dawson.

WHAT'S NEW

3/3/99

-Okay, I stopped watching Monica long enough to write up the synopsis for tonight. Here it is: Be Careful What You Wish For.

-Meanwhile, we're getting another repeat in two weeks, on 3/17: Full Moon Rising.

-Guess who came out last week along with our good friend Jack? Series creator Kevin Williamson, who finally got back to writing with that episode.

-There's some more spoilers below (mostly just clarfiying the old, but there's something good at the end). The page is going to gain a spoiler section once I move it but until then I have to do the obligatory spoiler warings. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. I REPEAT: SPOILERS BELOW, DON'T SCROLL DOWN IF YOU'RE A SISSY WHO DOESN'T WANT THINGS SPOILED.

Okay, here goes: Joey's father's return is apparently legit (I was kinda hoping he'd broken out, but no). The Icehouse starts branching out and getting into catering, until Joey's dad decides he wants to take over the business. Things start going awry, and Joey doesn't appreciate her father's increased role in her life so suddenly. She goes to Jack for advice, and he pushes her to Dawson, knowing that he'll be able to "comfort" her. This leads to Joey and Dawson getting back together, which of course is interrupted by Abby's death. As part of the Icehouse's expansion, they're catering a wedding, which is where a reunited Jen and Abby steal the wine. They go down to a pier to drink and find Andie there. After a small catfight, Abby falls over the side, hits her head, and drowns.

That tall, dark stranger who comes into Joey's life in next week's episode? He's a photographer, and Joey starts getting a little closer to him after a photo shoot. Unfortunately, it looks like he'd rather be with... Jack.

-Well I made it. And despite a few computer problems everything seems to be working out okay. My TV still hasn't arrived, so hopefully I'll have it by Wednesday night. If not, I'll work something out. Apparantly the site was down for a few days while I was gone, I've gone over the limit for something-or-other on my provider. Shouldn't happen again, as I'll be moving the page soon.

-I missed an update last week, so here's the new episode info for next week: Psychic Friends:

Dawson's (James Van Der Beek) amateur movies are panned by his new teacher (guest star Madchen Amick), a movie executive on sabbatical, and his confidence takes a blow.

2/22/99

-Okay, I'm moving out to Los Angeles tomorrow. I'm driving, so I won't be able to update the page on Wednesday (not that it really matters, as it's a repeat), but I should be in my new place by next week's new episode, so everything should be okay. Also, as a result of my new time zone, it goes without saying that the synopses will now be up a little later. Talk to everybody when I get out there. See ya.

-The site's one year anniversary is on the 10th of March. I'm still planning to move the page and get a real address that people can actually remember, so hopefully I'll have it all together for then.
