Sri Narayanan Iyengar
He was also known as Guru Purnima Dasan, an ardent devotee of Dikshitar. I came to know him through a music source at Coimbatore, India. Despite his poverty, he had been consistently holding Dikshitar's torch for the past three decades in Coimbatore. I admire his commitment to Dikshitar's cause. He has been my prime source of inspiration and this site is dedicated to him.

He passed away on 28th October 2002. We are deeply touched by his life and cause for Dikshitar. Please visit this eulogy site to know more about him.

V. Ramji
A good friend of mine. We got acquainted while he was doing his Masters in Agri. Engg at Coimbatore. His vast knowledge in carnatic music is admirable. He sings and plays veena brilliantly though he has not learnt either of them formally. He was very instrumental in my learning to appreciate and understand different ragas and lakshanas. He is currently employed by Tamil Nadu Agri Engineering Department.

Yuri Gagarin (a.k.a. Sw. Jivan Aptakam)

Narayanan
A net-friend of mine. Many of this site visitors may already be familiar with him. He maintains along with Mrs. Vidya of Detroit an excellent site on Dikshitar: guruguha.org. He was gracious to provide some of the rare Dikshitar kritis to my collection. He lives in London.
