My point is: I am hardly the first, nor will I be the last, to try to point a finger at the Antichrist of the Last Days. Obviously, many of the above named men have already proven their detractors incorrect, by dying.

So why am I so sure that Maitreya is the Antichrist?

The Sky is Right...

Been watching the skies?

Did anyone else notice those 3 lunar eclipses, all falling on Jewish holidays this year? Not to mention the total solar eclipse we had on March 9th where one could actually see Hale-Bopp in daytime Siberia. Speaking of which, we have had quite a few comets lately, but this one is particularly spectacular... everyone can see it with no trouble! And unlike Halley's Comet, we didn't even know this awesome comet existed till 1995! Also, I was just pointed to a NASA report that said in the next two years, Earth is going to be hit with some particularly dense meteor showers. While a normal meteor shower might see something like 25 incoming micro-meteoroids an hour, the Perseid meteor storm in August 1998 should see 1,000 an hour, and in August 1999, we could see 5,000 an hour. On October 5th next year, to add to the fun, we will also be hit by the Draconid meteor shower, which will deliver about 1,000 shooting stars an hour. And wait a minute...haven't there been some rather rare planetary alignments lately, with yet another about to happen?
"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars."(Luke 21:25)

(Though we have just been notified of a solar flare heading toward earth, this one isn't any real danger, nor even very spectacular. However, NASA reports that in just 3 years the sun will be undergoing a vast increase in such flares as it hits its natural cycle of such events.)

The Earth is Right...

Think about this:

Have you noticed the weather in the 1990's - just even in the US - getting more and more wild? How many 'Floods of the century' should one expect in one decade? We have had the most financially damaging weather events ever, one right after another...Hurricanes: Hugo'89, Bob '91, Andrew '92... and the 1995 Atlantic Hurricane season was the most active on record, with a total of 19 tropical storms, 11 of which reached hurricane status. Luis '95, Marilyn '95, and Opal '95 combined for 86 deaths and $7,000,000,000 in damage. Just last year North Carolina Governor Jim Hunt called Fran '96 the worst disaster to hit his state this century, and that state knows hurricanes! Tornado activity has been steadily on the rise for at least a half century, with 1993 being the greatest year on record. That's just in the US, which seems rather protected by something, compared to other global spots. (I wonder why?)
Global warming seems to be a reality, as does the depletion of the ozone layer. Droughts and floods have been taking terrible tolls in other parts of the world, and monsoons are killing vast numbers every year in coastal Asia. Famines are racking Africa and other parts of the world like never before. Earthquakes also have been steadily increasing in appearance, as the Earth seems to be shaking to the core.

"And there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." (Matthew 24:7,8)

Pestilences? How about AIDS and Ebola for starters... and these are just the beginning of sorrows?

The Church is Right...

Or rather, WRONG!

The Bible warns in many places that a great falling away will take place in the Body of Christ, otherwise known as the Christian Church...

Let no man decieve you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;..." (2 Thessalonians 2:3)

This speaks of the time immediately before Antichrist's emergence. With the true Christians having just been raptured, it's no wonder he will have such an easy time decieving everyone! Christian churches today are getting sloppier and sloppier in their doctrine. Many have dumped the most fundamental Biblical teachings in the name of 'toleration'. The Virgin Birth, The Trinity, Sodomy... even the simple plan Salvation has been rejected by these 'Christians'.
Here's some fresh news to add to stuff you probably already know: The Reformed Church of America just rejected an amendment requiring all churches and ministers to reaffirm annually that salvation is through Christ alone! The group includes 313,000 churches! Perhaps they just forgot how to read:

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

"For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9)

Update 2002 - Christianity (at least what the world sees as Christianity) has nearly hit bottom. True Christianity is all but impossible to find, as the rest of the world's churches continue to combine together - celebrating so-called "unity" at the expense of Solid Doctrine. This is the One World Church that will be led by Antichrist, and it is pretty much already here, ready for its satanic leader.

The Time is Right...

Here's a news flash...

Some interpretations of Scripture indicate that the Antichrist will commit 'The Abomination of Desolation' just 3.5 years after the Rapture. This entails standing in the rebuilt Third Temple in Jerusalem and declaring himself to be God.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, there is no such Temple...that space is occupied today by Islam's very holy 'Dome of the Rock' mosque. However, read this from a recent London Sunday Telegraph: The Holy Cow!

Update 2002 - This is the major indicator that NOW is the time of the fulfillment of Last days prophecy... that Israel has been reborn as a country, after nearly 2000 years! Israel is considered God's timetable, nation, people and method of showing His workings with mankind. In 1967, Israel won a few miraculous battles and took control of Jerusalem, which many students of prophecy consider the start of the last generation. This is based on Jesus' parable of the Fig Tree (israel) in Matthew 24. He said that the generation that saw these things would not pass until everything had come true.

Has this world ever known such violent, sick and hateful times? Here in America we don't have a war going on (per se...) but somehow thousands of our people are dying each year from gunshot wounds. The race relations, gender relations, sexual relations, political relations and even spiritual relations in this country (and elsewhere) are polarizing us all to the extreme. Drug abuse, broken families, poverty, lawlessness, abortion, suicides... need I say more? Surely God's patience for this 'Christian' country is being severly tested! Worldwide, all people are losing, or have totally lost faith in their rulers; they want nothing more than someone with all the answers to show up and 'fix it all'...

Update 2002 - 9/11, The War on Terror, impending war in the Middle East... need I say more? America, and the world, has lost more freedom in the last year than perhaps ever before. It is all according to plan. The sheep are being prepared for the slaughter.

Wow! What a great guy! Who could have any problem with a sweetheart like Maitreya? Me, for one! The Bible says that Antichrist will deceive the vast majority of the world; that everyone will basically love him! Think about this: If Satan showed up with fangs, horns, and bloody claws... who would even stand there long enough to say 'Hi'? The Bible speaks of a beautiful man who will lure people with miracles, peace, and a very smooth tongue...

So far, Maitreya has been doing most of his communication through his 'channeler' Benjamin Creme, who states:

Maitreya descended in July 1977 from His ancient retreat in the Himalayas and took up residence in the Indian-Pakistani community of London. He has been living and working there, seemingly as an ordinary man, His true status known to relatively few. He has been emerging gradually into full public view so as not to infringe humanity's free will.

At the earliest possible moment, Maitreya will demonstrate His true identity. We will see His face on television, but each of us will hear His words telepathically in our own language as Maitreya simultaneously impresses the minds of all humanity. THE RECOGNITION OF MAITREYA

Very soon, the world will see the Teacher. The question arises: will people recognize Him? For the vast majority, recognition will not be difficult: seldom, indeed, does a man of His stature - demonstrating, radiating for all to see, the Love, the Wisdom, the Purpose and the Grace of God - come openly into our lives. Millions will respond and rally to His side, eager to implement the plans which, He will advise, are essential for the regeneration of life on Earth. Many will brook no delay, and catapult themselves into groupings and formations through which to tackle the manifold problems and needed changes which beset men today. Like men inspired - as indeed they will be - millions will begin the task of transformation - certain in the knowledge that they work towards the fulfilment of God's Plan for this Earth. Thus shall it be. And thus shall men begin to see themselves correctly, as brothers, working together for the good of all.


Scriptures

Not all men, however, will recognize Maitreya as the One awaited by all the nations. Steeped deeply in the world's scriptures, however fragmented, and however discoloured by time, many will turn away, at first, from this latest manifestation of God's continuing Plan for the world. They will find it hard to reconcile Maitreya's simple and practical approach with their mystical expectations and dogmas. Do not be surprised, therefore, by their angry and anxious rejection. Thus it was in Jesus' time. Thus, also, when the Buddha began His work. Thus, too, did Krishna know dissent and condemnation. Thus has it always been when the New has presented itself to the Old.

Be not afraid, therefore, when the "men of cloth" raise their voices against the Great Lord, naming Him anti-Christ and arch-deceiver, for they know little of the laws which underlie their faiths and act and speak from ignorance and fear. They, too, are tested in this fashion.
