Doing Splits has been around for a while.  And the statistics keep on growing.  So, to de-clutterize the main page, results from the previous years have been moved to this page.

1999-2000 Season Final Statistics

Composed of Gary Sturgeon, Jay Thompson and Jeff Harper, the 1999-2000 Doing Splits bowling team finished in 3rd place with a record of 121 wins versus 75 losses, making it the team's best season ever.  We finished just 8 points behind the 1st place Beer Guts, and 1 point behind 2nd place Gutter Minds.  Jeff had 43.2% of the team's splits with 98, averaging 3.769 splits per week and 1.256 splits per game.  Gary had 30.4% of the team's splits with 69, averaging 2.556 splits per week and 0.852 splits per game.  Jay had 18.9% of the splits with 43, averaging 2.150 splits per week and 0.717 splits per game.  Including substitutes, the team had 227 splits during the year, averaging 8.107 per week and 2.702 per game.  Clearly, Jeff is the King of the Split! (Jeff would be glad to surrender the crown in 2000-2001, but someone else is going to have to earn it!)

2000 - 2001 Season Final Statistics

Doing Splits finished in Second Place, which is the team's highest finish to date.  This season's team consisted of Gary Sturgeon, James Hammontree, and Jeff Harper.  It was a hard-fought battle to the end, with the team winning 105 games and losing 91, finishing 29 points back of the first place Beer Guts.  The team had a total of 267 splits, for an average of 9.536 splits per week.  Jeff led the team with 101 splits (3.741 per week), accounting for 37.8% of the team's splits.  James was second with 81 splits (3.240 per week, 30.3% of team's splits).  Gary was last with 79 splits (2.821 per week, 29.6% of team's splits).  Substitutes accounted for the remaining 6 splits.  James managed to pick up 11 of his splits (13.580%), Jeff picked up 7 splits (6.931%), and Gary picked up 3 splits (3.797%).  Doing Splits had the season's 2nd High Handicap Game for a Team with 862 pins and the season's 1st High Handicap Series for a Team with 2470 pins.  Gary had the Men's 1st High Handicap Series for the season at 893.

For two years straight, Jeff remains the reigning King of the Split.

2001-2002 Season Final Statistics

Doing Splits finished the first half of the season in 2nd place (56.5 wins, 41.5 losses), and the second half of the season in 3rd place (53 wins, 38 losses).  The team was in first place for 81% of the season, but just couldn't hang on at the end.  Jeff Harper was, once again, the SplitMeister, managing a whopping 126 splits, averaging 4.5 splits per week, 1.5 splits per game.  Jeff picked up 10 splits for a7.94% pick up percentage.  James Hammontree was second on splits, managing 87 of them, averaging 3.107 splits per week, 1.036 splits per game.  James also picked up 10 splits for a 11.49% pick up percentage.  Gary was third on splits, having 80 for the season, averaging 2.857 per week, 0.952 per game.  Just like Jeff and James, Gary picked up 10 splits for a 12.5% pick up percentage.  The team had a total of 293 splits, averaging 10.464 per week, 3.488 per game.  The team picked up 30 splits for a 10.24% pick up percentage.  The opponents had a total of 235 splits, averaging 8.393 per week, 2.798 per game.  The opposition picked up 21 splits for a 8.94% pick up percentage.

The first split of the season went to Todd Stadler, wasting no time by getting it in the first frame of the first game.

The first split for Doing Splits was by James, coming in the second frame of the first game.  Not to be outdone, Jeff immediately followed with his first split of the season.  Gary's first split came in the ninth frame of the second game.

2002-2003 Season Final Statistics

Final Standings for the Second Half of the Season:  Doing Splits, with a 48 and 50 record, finishes the second half of the season tied for 6th place.  In first place, with a 64-34 record, is Ten In The Pit.  In second place, with a 63-35 record, is We Suck Therefore We Are.  In third place, with a 56-42 record, is I Hate This Game.  In fourth place, with a 55-43 record, is Pin Heads.  In fifth place, with a 52-46 record, is Bite Me.  In sixth place, with a 48-50 record, are Doing Splits and Get A Clue.  In eighth place, with a 37-61 record, is Threesome.  In ninth place, with a 36-62 record, is Here 4 Beer.  And finishing in the cellar, with a 31-67 record, is Beer Guts.

Final Standings for the First Half of the Season:  In first place, with a 60-31 record, was I Hate This Game.  In second place, with a 52-39 record, was Threesome.  In third place, with a 49-42 record, was Get A Clue.  In fourth place, with a 48-43 record, was Here 4 Beer.  In fifth place, with a 43-48 record, were We Suck Therefore We Are and Bite Me.  In seventh place, with a 42-49 record, was Ten In The Pit.  In eighth place, with a 40-51 record, was Beer Guts.  In ninth place, with a 39-52 record, were Doing Splits and Pin Heads.

Jeff Harper was, yet again, the SplitMeister, managing 119 splits, averaging 4.250 splits per week, 1.417 splits per game.  Jeff picked up 10 splits for a 8.403% pick up percentage.  Gary was second on splits, having 96 for the season, averaging 3.556 per week, 1.185 per game.  Gary picked up 11 splits for a 11.458% pick up percentage.  James was third on splits, managing 79 of them, averaging 2.821 splits per week, 0.940 splits per game.  James also picked up 11 splits for a 13.924% pick up percentage.  The team had a total of 294 splits, averaging 10.500 per week, 3.500 per game.  The team picked up 32 splits for a 10.884% pick up percentage.  The opponents had a total of 239 splits, averaging 8.536 per week, 2.845 per game.  The opposition picked up 20 splits for a 8.368% pick up percentage.

2003-2004 Season Final Statistics

Doing Splits finished the 1st half of the season in 9th place, and the 2nd half in 2nd place.  The 2nd half standings were:

In first place, with a 65-33 record, Beer Guts.  In second place, with a 58-40 record, Doing Splits.  In third place, with a 57-41 record, Mine's In The Gutter.  In fourth place, with a 53-45 record, Bite Me.  In fifth place, with a 49-49 record, Threesome.  In sixth place, with a 48.5-49.5 record, Here 4 Beer.  In seventh place, with a 48-50 record, Ten In The Pit.  In eighth place, with a 39-59 record, Hate This Game.  In ninth place, with a 34-64 record, Cornholio (formerly Pin Heads).  In tenth place, with a 33-65 record, Hump This!.

Yet again, Jeff Harper was the Grand SplitMeister, managing 103 splits, averaging 3.679 splits per week, 1.226 splits per game in 28 weeks of bowling.  Jeff picked up 12 splits for a 11.650% pick up percentage.  James was second on splits, having 83 for the season, averaging 3.037 per week, 1.012 per game in 27.33 weeks of bowling.  James picked up 7 splits for a 8.434% pick up percentage.  Gary was third on splits, managing 79 of them, averaging 3.038 splits per week, 1.013 splits per game in 26 weeks of bowling.  Gary picked up 3 splits for a 3.797% pick up percentage.  The team had a total of 265 splits, averaging 9.464 per week, 3.155 per game.  The team picked up 22 splits for a 8.302% pick up percentage.  The opponents had a total of 209 splits, averaging 7.464 per week, 2.488 per game.  The opposition picked up 13 splits for a 6.220% pick up percentage.
