Now, one can lose their scruples, Or
make them more complex.
For, to bend is not immoral
When survival’s the context.
Tho' reactions may seem justified,
You for success believe,
Then to stay and fight is crazy,
And clearly you must leave.
Hear me, though you grieve:
Clearly, you must leave.
For if you stay and acquiesce To
forces plain unjust,
You rob your life of meaning,
And leave an empty trust.
Why stay and live in a little hell, So
vacant and ferocious?
Better move to a pretty place,
Until ankles next are noticed. |
