Layle Giusto - Meet the Author

Except for a few vividly remembered years spent in the beautiful Tennessee Mountains, which made me forever after a country girl, I was born and raised in New York City. I studied dance, both ballet and African folk, which both my teachers complained was a curious mixture. For several years, I danced professionally, enabling me to see America on tour.

Somehow, despite the dancing, I managed to finish school, marry and raise my children. My schooling was done at the City University of New York and I earned a degree in Nursing. Much of my nursing career was spent at a prestigious rehabilitation center.

From early childhood my main entertainment has always been reading and I read everything that I could get my hands on -- except for romances. I was one of those women, who would turn up my nose and say, "I never read those." That lasted until ten years ago, when I read my first. I was hooked within the first ten pages and haven't stopped yet. It didn't take long for me to decide that I wanted to write these stories. Well, it turned out to be much more difficult than I'd expected but so began one of the most wonderful journeys of my life - writing fiction.
