Alternate Spelling

Needless to say, the search for these surnames is cognizant of as many variations as the imagination can invent.

For now, I will only note spelling variations on the most difficult of these names:  Surate, Surrat, Surratt, Suratt, Surrate, Surratte, Suratte, and beginnings of "Sar", "Ser", "Sir", "Sor" and endings of "itt", "ett". Also from handwriting interpretations-  Scratt (actually Seratt).
