Candice McRee has served students, parents, schools, and colleges since 1976. She holds a BA in Education (German, English) from Purdue University, and an MA in Counseling from Rider University. A former independent school Dean of Students and College Advisor (Episcopal Academy, The Ethel Walker School, The Hun School of Princeton, Peddie School), Admissions Director (The Gunnery, Miss Hall's School, Salisbury School), and Testing Coordinator (The Hotchkiss School) Candice is now available privately to families for boarding/day school, college, summer program, and special needs placement. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American School Counselor Association, the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs, the New England Association for College Admission Counseling, and the Secondary School Admission Test Board.

Candice maintains a wide network of Admissions Office contacts, and visits schools and colleges as an Admissions consultant or as a personal counselor when an outside resource is appropriate. She administers the SSAT in Falls Village, CT, as well as in schools and other settings. She is known among many schools, colleges, and families throughout the U.S. for the appropriateness of her recommendations and the thoroughness of her student advocacy.

Families are encouraged to begin the school or college search process as early as two years prior to placement, but inquiries are welcome at any time. Candice is happy to work with families who have mid-year school placement needs, including those generated by expulsion, as well as with families who follow a more traditional school or college search calendar.

Evening and weekend appointments are available. References and a fee schedule are supplied upon request.
