     The following answers to the queries propounded are respectfully submitted in support of my application for a Confederate pension under Act of the Legislature of Alabama, approved Sept. 23rd, 1919.

AFFIDAVIT OF TWO CITIZENS OF THE PRECINCT WHERE APPLICANT RESIDES

     We,   J.O. Long    and   J.H. Crawford    our post-office addresses being   Jasper    Ala., and   Jasper   Ala., respectively, do solemnly swear that we have known   James Burton Plylar    whose name is signed to the foregoing application   40    years and   40    years respectively, that we consider him to be a truthful and reliable person and do not believe that he would make a false statement for the purpose of securing a pension.
