Some people also descended from Beverly Staunton have written and given me some corrections and clarifications.  At the time I was too busy to make the revisions.  As soon as I re-locate the information, I will make the revisions.  Thank you all for contacting me with the results of your research.

Uncle Allen was buried in same cemetery as Josie Lee. Could Sarah Staunton also be buried there?

As Sissy was told, Josie died on the back porch of Uncle Allen's house in Stuart's Draft in sight of her beloved Blue Ridge Mountains. Also heard that she had just prepared a chicken for cooking and just leaned back, closed her eyes and quietly died.
Sissy heard that her father went to that Church when he was a little boy. It's Calvary Methodist Episcopal Church in Stuart's Draft, which sits on a sort of fork in the road, with a side street along side, per phone call to the Church on 6/24/1997. The person answering, Jacqueline Smith, confirmed that Josie Lee McDaniel, "mother of Edgar Allen Taylor," was buried in that cemetery, along with Edgar Allen Taylor.
The Church is located on Route 340, which may be called Greenville Road soon. The postal address is: P.O. Box 944, Stuart's Draft, VA
