If you want to ask about a series, or just chat with another anime fan, please e-mail. I enjoy the conversation. =D

I decided to stop distributing fansubs at this time. I will still look at trades, but from this time on I only accept requests for titles listed on the KASHA page.

In addition to distributing for KASHA (which is a good deal for people interested in seeing complete series of anime.) I'm offering my services to help find manga and other anime related products. I live near an excellent Japanese bookstore, and can get manga near cost, even when I need to ask the bookstore to special order it. If you are looking for manga, e-mail me and I'll let you know what it will cost. (I won't be trying to make a profit, so you'd just have to pay for the books and shipping. - for other products I make no guarantees, but I will help those who ask.)

I distribute for Kawaii Shoujo, Anonymous. This is an excellent way to get complete series. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see anime the way the Japanese see it. (And if you want to learn the language this does help.)

But please be aware that unless indicated these series are NOT subtitled.

RULES FOR REQUESTING

  1. Look over the list I have to see what tapes you might be interested in.
  2. You must e-mail me at Mvargus@sprynet.com and receive a reply before sending in tapes or cash
  3. If the status section indicates that requests are closed, please do not send an e-mail. I want to keep the turn around time low, and I can only do that by controlling the number of requests I accept.
  4. I accept both SASE orders and full service. Please read the specific instructions for each
  5. No more than 3 tapes per order, some mix and match of titles is allowed. (Inquire via e-mail - I will only record in SP though)

6. Right now I’m only shipping to US addresses. If you are from outside the country e-mail me and I’ll look into shipping tapes to you.

SASE
  1. Once your order has been accepted you can send in your tapes. Please include a priority mail envelope addressed to you with a stamp (not a printed and precanceled tag from the post office they are only good at the issuing post office), and a padded envelope (which can be purchased at any post office. The priority mail envelope is free)
  2. I’ll try to copy your tapes as soon as they arrive. Expect it to take 3-4 days.

    7. Full service includes TDK Extra High Grade Tapes and Priority Mail shipping back to you.

    8. My rates are: $4.00 per tape plus shipping. There is no limit as long as the request is for a single series.

  3. I accept cash or money order without delay. If you send a check I will hold shipment until after the check clears. Make checks or money orders out to Mark Vargus not Anime Outpost, PLEASE.
  4. Include a letter that lists what you have requested and your address. (this is for your and my protection. I want to have one last check before I send you your tapes)
  5. When you send in your request, include an adhesive label with your address printed on it. (Like many other fansub distributors, I will refuse orders from people who forget this too often) Some requestors have forgotten this step. This is important. My handwriting is not great, and I'd hate to have your tapes delayed in the mail because the post office could not read the address.
  6. I’ll start work on your tapes as soon as I can, so please do not wait to send me everything.
  7. You should get your tapes about 1-2 weeks after you send your letter to me.

Please be aware that I have a rather large archive of anime, and it helps me if you send a complete list.
