progressive present: tense that uses a helping verb with an -ing form of a verb [ex:         I am speaking. You are speaking. We are speaking.]
emphatic present
: the usage of 'do' or 'does' with the present tense
        [e.g.: I do speak. You do speak. He does speak. She does speak.]
active voice
: The action of the verb is performed by the subject (active)
passive voice
: The subject is acted upon. (The subject is now passive.)
transitive verbs
: verbs that take direct objects.
intransitive verbs
: verbs that do not take direct objects. The verb does not carry          across to anything. [e.g.: The runner stumbled. The dog slept.]
5. adverbs: a word that describes a verb
6. preposition: shows relation between a noun & a word [to, for, of, in]
7. conjunction: a word that connects words or groups of words
8. interjection: expresses emotion, or acts as a signal

gerund
: a verb form that is used as a noun by adding -ing to that verb form
participle
: a verbal adjective (an adjective that has characteristics of a verb)
