You can't recreate stream of consciousness. My consciousness has done moved on to new places by now, swept down the consciousness stream and out towards the ocean of ideas. Maybe if I run downstream I can catch it. My thoughts could be caught on a stick somewhere, being tugged on by the current but unable to continue on their way. I'd better go check.

A "runtime error" just ate my blog. Well the joke is on the error, because that blog will ruin its dinner and give it indigestion, so there.

I think it was Patt Benatar who sang, "Love is a battlefield," but someone else made the distinction, "I'm a lover, not a fighter." So if there's a distinction between lovers and fighters, but all are on the battlefield, then I guess the lovers would be represented by the bodies of the slain, owing to their not being good fighters and all. Does that mean that I could be buried at Arlington?

I was driving on Saturday, and off to my left I saw the end of a rainbow. As I was looking at it, the car behind passed me by, and I tried to look at them to see if they were noticing the rainbow, but they all seemed to be looking off to the right. "So sad," I thought, "That those people are so intent on getting where they're going that they don't even notice the beauty in the world around them." But then I looked off to the right where they were looking and saw the other end of the rainbow. It seems like there might be a lesson in there somewhere. It probably has to do with watching where you're going when you're driving.

"Watson, come here." Gentlemen, we have blog off. I got the silly thing working, I think, and if I ever think of anything to say, look out. On the subject of a lack of subjects upon which to pontificate: It seems like such a wonderful concept. No more tinkering with the html guts every single time you want to update your page. If only had something to add in the way of actual content. Still, I got to use the word "pontificate" already, which makes me sound smarter than I actually am and in a small way makes up for the over use of the word "blog" which, frankly, sounds like I've already run out of real words and had to resort to the use of funny sounds. Still, the blog concept is, I believe, sound, so check back here for frequent updates. At least they should be more frequent then my previous updates which, as you may have noticed, mostly involve misinformation about the impending dangers of Y2K. The update prior to that was, if I remember correctly, one in which I theorized that this whole wheel invention was nothing more than a fad and a novelty and would never catch on. But I was wrong on that one. Al Gore did us a good turn when he invented that. You put your peace in You put your Peace Out You put your peace in and you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around. That's what it's all about. Peace Out.

It was a dark and stormy night on that sunny morning when I first heard the word "blog." It seems like a distant memory to me now, which is probably indicative of some mental disorder, since it was only a half an hour ago. So off I go to attempt my very first blog. I don't know how or if it will work, but, as the lady said, "If I should fail, if I succeed, at least I blogged as I believed."
