Paul &  Sarah's "Family" Pages

Welcome to our family home page, that is. Come on in, stay awhile, and meet the folks and our critters.  Our pages are heavy on graphics, so allow time for downloading.

Hello, we would like to welcome to our family's home page. We are delighted that you are making some time to visit our site . . . and hope that you'll stick around long enough to get to know just a little bit more about us.  You will have to excuse our appearance as our site is periodically under construction as we try to add things.  Please check back frequently to view our new pages.  Many of our friendships begin as cyberspace acquaintances and have become long lasting friendships - and maybe that will be true of us.

"US" -- Paul, Sarah and Meghann
and the Gang

Paul and I were born in northern California.  Paul in Berkeley and me in San Francisco.  We met when I was living in Olney, Maryland.  At the time, Paul was working for RCA as a Technical Writer and I was working as a Travel Agent in Olney.  Shortly after, we married and moved to Elby Court in Wheaton, Maryland where we lived with our Keeshonds.

At one time we had 9 Keeshonds living with us.  Or should I say, we lived with them.  We have fond memories of that home on Elby Court.  We even played foster home for Keeshonds as well as a few Weimaraners while we lived there.

One day, while at a show with of our Kees, Ace.  I met two great people, Lenny and Florence Shulman.  We learned lots about the German Shorthaired Pointer breed from them.  When we moved up to New Hampshire we called them and told them we were ready for a GSP.  We asked them to look for one for us.  Then one day they called with the news.   They had seen "our" puppy.  We drove up to their Vermont home and met Linda and Kevin Flynn and their puppies.  And we drove home with Izzy, in my arms.  Izzy was one the daughters of the Shulman's Justin and the Flynn's Freda.  This was the beginnings of a beautiful friendship and a new love in our lives.

Our main interest in pure breed dogs has always been to have (and to occasionally breed) quality dogs as well as to train them in all aspects of life to make theirs as well as our lives as rewarding as possible.  We enjoy training our dogs for the breed and obedience rings as well as for field performance events.  First and foremost, we feel our dogs are our family companions who enjoy being "couch potatoes" and "snuggle bunnies" with us.

Besides having fun with our own dogs, both Paul and I are approved to judge AKC Pointing Breed Hunt Test events (in all levels) and I have taught puppy kindergarten classes for a pure breed dog club we belonged to.

We are also interested in fly fishing, fly tying, soccer, working with graphics programs, listening to music, reading, cooking, skeet shooting, sporting clays, Anime, photography, needlecrafts (including crocheting, knitting, knitting with a loom, and cross stitching), paperart (including origami, teabag folding, iris folding, scrap booking, and creative card making), creating for different charitable groups (including the Angels of Hope, Spirit Rising, and Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation)  and chatting with friends on the web.

Our daughter, Meghann, arrived here from Hong Kong on March 20, 1991.  She shares many of the same interests with us.  Meghann started violin and piano lessons at the end of 1997.  Meghann is in the ninth grade and enjoys reading, writing, digital photography, music, computers, the internet, drawing, origami, and foreign languages.  Meghann has her own web site and enjoys chatting online with her friends.  Besides our dogs, Meghann has a corn snake, Sunset, for a pet.  Meghann enjoys traveling and frequently travels to California to visit family.  Meghann's summer of 2004 trip included a visit to Disneyland, a numerous festivals she attended with family and friends.  She plays her violin in the String Ensemble at Pinkerton Academy and with a group of Fiddlers.

Please check out other web pages connected to our home page (links are below).  We will be updating our pages to include more pictures of us and our gang and will be adding pages to share information about some of our other hobbies and interests.  Feel free to email with comments about our pages and  if you'd like more information on us, our dogs.
