LVS - Designing Digital Scrapbook Components

Week 1 Class Creations by SarahL

After viewing other students' creations and reading messages left for me (and others) I realized that my first few attempts at week 1's assignment were not what they should have been.  I took the time to redo the lesson for week 1.  Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to explain and show me how to improve my work.  I hope I am doing a better job now.  With time and help I know I can improve.

Thanks again ... Sarah L in NH

Texture 1

I chose the color from the gradiant option and modified it using the bark texture.

Texture 2

I used two shades of brown and utilized the blinds option. First I added it vertically and then horizontially.

Texture 3

I used the same two shades of brown. Applied markings using a brush. Then used the Multiply option and finally used the Kaleidoscope effect. Besides using this for the background of a page, I hope to print out this tile and use them to make a teabag fold medallion to embellish the page.

Texture 4

I used the image supplied to us and the burn effect.

Texture 5

I duplicated two angel bear graphics around the tile and lowered them to 34 and then used the burn effect.

Texture 6

This the cork pattern with the crumpled paper texture.

Stripe

Once I learned that I only had to do one of each of what I want repeated, this example was simple.

Plaid

My plaid wasn't hard to make either. I did my stripes, layerd and rotated a duplicate of them.

Gingham

Once I found out that all I had to do was something this tiny to fill a whole page, gingham is not hard either.

Seamless Tile

I hope my attempt at a seamless tile is correct.
