Errors and Oddities

Unidentified object, of unknown age, apparently bronze or copper, 23mm square, with "hinges", 7.02gm. It suggests to me something along the line of a magical charm, or something to do with calendrical or astrological calculations. I would welcome any comments as to its identity or nature. Please specify whether you want your comments quoted on this website.

Ancient token [?], 12mm, uniface. Three stars and a crescent. I bought this as a 1st to 3rd century Roman lead token, but I suspect that's not quite right. It looks more like an alloy to me, and perhaps a bit later, or maybe Celtic. I honestly don't know what it is. If anybody has a clue, please let me know, and I will tack an addendum on with the information/opinion. It's difficult to grade without knowing what it is, but I would say aVF. I would welcome any comments as to its identity or nature. Please specify whether you want your comments quoted on this website.
