Comments: The courage and strength and the williness to continue fighting from the team is the most remarkable thing I have ever seen in my life. I know thats what keeps me on the Gamecock side as a loyal fan. No matter lose are win we have got the best Coach and coaching staff along with the best bunch of players of any collage team in the nation. Our day is coming and when it gets here I for one will be still rooting for the Gamecocks. GO COCKS GO.

Comments: I really love gamecock football. I am hoping that the past "luck of the Irish" can break the dreaded chicken curse. Year after year we tend to put up with the taunts of being loyal fans. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of the end for those tortured gamecock faithful. GO COCKS!

Phil, Boo, and all the rest you are the best reguardless of how things may seem. And Lou I know you may be a bit depressed right about now but remember one thing, you have to play the hand you were dealt and you are doing a mighty fine job of it. We love you and the team and by george we will get it together soon. May God bless you all.

Comments: If you haven't, you really need to read Coach Holtz's book. I am a beleiver in Coach Holtz, I was before, now more than ever. Now USC has a game plan. We must learn how to win, because we do not know how. We have a leader. Now lets rally the troops, because we ARE going all the way. Not this year and maybe not the next, but we are headed in the right direction. We are the best fans in the country, 1-10 last year proved that. Now we MUST support our Gamecocks! Beleive people, BELEIVE!

Comments: I hope the Gamecocks do as well as everyone thinks they are going to do, but I'm sorry to say I don't believe it will happen. The problem with USC is this, to many fans and to many alumni are just flat out impatient, you don't give a coach long enough to put a decent program together. Brad Scott recruited alot of talent, yeah I know USC went 1-10 last year, and that was the excuse USC's "All Knowing" athletic director used to get rid of him. Well let's see what Mr.Holtz can do if he's given enough time. I can promise you this he will not be at USC in five years. He'll either resign or be fired after a few losing seasons. A national championship ...dream on...

Comments: Now before everyone goes ballistic over USC having Lou Holtz as head football coach,he's going to try to do what no other coach has ever done. That is build South Carolina into a consistent winner year end and year out. Good luck to Holtz and his staff. One thing everyone needs to remember is this, you can believe that you can win all day long and still get your asses kicked on the field. You've got to believe that you can win and then get out there and do it. Get down in the trenches, get dirty, get nasty, and knock the other team into next week. Play with heart and attitude..to all Gamecock players and fans lets get together and avenge our humiliating 98'season.

Comments: I've been a ND fan since birth,I really envy USC fan's now that you have COACH HOLTZ,I'm sure he will bring your Football program to the top of the SEC,as he did at ND and other schools, just give him a few years to recruit the tye of player's he will need to run his system, he'll also be able to recruit the top High school players in your state.I've been following his progress since taking over as your Head Coach and I believe USC will have a good year.

Comments: This is a nice page. The GAMECOCKS will be 7-4 in 99 and go to a bowl game. The defense will be 3-4. Holtz is a winner. Roberts is and excellent recruiter. We will have a top 50 class. Holtz likes to run the ball. Pass only 10-15 a game. Plays a soft 2 deep zone. Doesn"t like to give up the BIG play. The special teams will be good. He plays a lot of players, 3TB's FB'S and Tight ends.If he wins the toss goes on defense. Defense scores 1st 70% of the time. Likes to shift players around with a truly team game. He puts his players in there position of STRENGHT and therefore the team has a better chance of winning. I can't wait to see the Gamecocks in action.
