Download/Setup Directions
  1. Extract the file below into the default directory(c:\). It should create the directory C:\Gamecock and several subdirectories.
    Cockpit Theme
  2. Open your Microsoft Plus! Themes utility. Choose "other..." from the listbox. Choose the file Cockpit.theme located in the c:\gamecock\themes directory.
  3. Click the Apply Button from the Microsoft Plus! Themes utility.
  4. Click the Ok Button to exit the Microsoft Plus! Themes utility.
  5. You can delete the THEME.EXE file if you chose to download it first before extracting it.
  6. I suggest you use the theme for about a week before making changes and updating.

Making Changes/Updating
  1. After about a week of use you'll have a pretty good idea of what you like and dislike about the Cockpit Theme.
  2. From the Control Panel's Display utility you can change your desktops wallpaper, screensaver, colors, icons, etc.
  3. From the Control Panel's Sound utility you can change your computer sounds.
  4. Open your Microsoft Plus! Themes utility.
  5. "Current Window settings" will be written inside the listbox. Just click the "Save As" button. Name the file whatever you like and place were ever you like.
  6. You just created a new theme file.

Notes
  1. Please do not redistribute any of the files downloaded from this site.
  2. If the icons look real bad do this. From the Display Properties Dialog box choose the Plus! tab. Then make sure that the "Show icons using all possible colors" option is selected.
  3. If you don't have Microsoft Plus! you can visit Tucows Themes! and see what kind of utilitys they have to help you.
  4. A screensaver was not included in this package, because you can use one of my old screensavers and I'm working on several other screensavers as separate projects.
