Little is known about Mary Ann Hicks.  I believe she is the daughter of the William Hicks who owned property that adjoined the property of her future husband Mijamin Hicks. 

The two pictures shown above are tin types.  Both pictures are in bad condition.  The picture on left is small tin type.  The one on right is larger.  It was this picture that was a companion to the picture of her husband M. Priest that hung in the Sarah Bailey Priest David home.

My mother has an old leather bound book, The Hand of God in History, that belonged to Mary Ann.  Embossed on he cover of he book is "Mrs. Mary Priest."  The back of he book is broken and first pages of the book are loose.  If there was a page with copyright information that page is missing.  Since the book is well over 100 years copyright probably did not exist.
