Located about 15 miles northeast of Henderson, Texas on Hwy 43, 4 miles south of Tatum in Rusk County. This is a warm water power plant reservoir with raised surface temperatures as much as 20 degrees with submerged grass beds and many stumps. This 5,000 acre lake is known for its largemouth bass crappie, channel catfish and bluegill. February is considered quality fishing, fed by one major and 6 minor creeks. The 286 acre state park near the dam is the lake’s best asset.
